SHREWSBURY GET BRIDGES ON TRIAL
Shrewsbury Town get Michael Bridges on trial for two weeks. Bridges, 29, has been complaining of a lack of first team football at Hull and will play matches for Shrewsbury Reserves until his two week trial is over. Before the press conference, an e-mail off Butterfield's iPhone was caught on camera. It said, "This is for you, Nick. Watch Sky Sports News to see what I mean!"

Michael Bridges' 2 week trial at Shrewsbury Town has finished, with him scoring 4 goals in 2 games for the reserves. Butterfield has stated that he would love to make a Bridges move permanent if it was possible.

JANUARY TRANSFERS:
Shrewsbury Town have signed 21 year old keeper Adam Legzdins for £18k. Legzdins, who signed from Birmingham, joined because Glyn Garner had dropped in from between the posts for the Salops.
Shrewsbury Town have completed a double keeper transfer with the signing of Lee Boyle on a free transfer. Nineteen year old Irish keeper Boyle signed from Aston Villa and is going to try and learn off Legzdins and Glyn Garner at his new club.
Shrewsbury have signed Luton's 18 year old midfielder Robert Sinclair for £1k. Sinclair will look for a first team place in the Shrewsbury line up, and he has stated he would love to learn off Ray Parlour at the Salops.
Shrewsbury have signed 21 year old winger Kyle Nix from Bradford on a free transfer. Nix is said to be very happy to move to playoff contenders Shrewsbury, and the battle for promotion is one of the things he wanted to be involved with at the club.
Chester City have signed Ghanaian striker Derek Asamoah from Shrewsbury for £12k. Asamoah, 26, scored 1 goal in 6 appearances this season, but wasn't in Butterfield's plans.
Shrewsbury Town have loaned Cédric Alvinel until the end of the season. French defender Alvinel, 21, will look to get some football experience at the Salops and Shrewsbury will hope he plays well for them.
Bournemouth have signed Kelvin Langmead from Shrewsbury for £35k. Langmead, 22, is obviously highly rated by Bournemouth for them to offer so much money for the defender.
Shrewsbury have signed young defender Jonathan Grounds from Middlesbrough for £2k. Grounds, 19, will look to have a good career for Shrewsbury, who have money available since the Langmead transfer.
Shrewsbury have signed Hull veteran Ian Ashbee for £1k. Shrewsbury trialled Ashbee's, 31, ex team mate Michael Bridges and seem keen to sign many so-called 'past it' players.
Shrewsbury have released 4 players to cut wage costs. Chris Humphrey, Ryan Esson, Andy Cooke and David Hunt didn't get much game time, so Butterfield offered them all a mutual termination each, which got accepted by all. All 4 players are free agents until a club offers them a contract which they accept.
Shrewsbury have loaned defender Robbie Threlfall from Liverpool until the end of the year. Threlfall, 19, is said to be a 'true Scouser' and has been a Liverpool fan since he was a schoolboy.
Shrewsbury have signed Sam Tuttnott from Leeds for £1k. Tuttnott, 19, will join up with old Leeds team mates, and now Shrewsbury team mates Gavin Rothery and Simon Madden, who did the same move pre-season.
Shrewsbury have signed full back Kyle Naughton from Sheffield United for £1k. Naughton, 19, said he is moving to the Salops to help move his career on further.
