One of the fixtures drawn yesterday in the Champions League Qualifiers was Celtic vs Arsenal. A 'battle of Britain' if you wish, and it should be a really good tie for both sets of supporters and the neutral. Prior to the draw, I can imagine how both sides would have wanted to avoid the other, so i'm pretty sure both won't be too happy. Arsenal are the superior team in terms of quality, but you know Celtic are capable of on of those gritty Champions League performances. Views?
Firstly, huge credit to Celtic for their second leg performance winning 2-0 to even reach this round. They certainly know how to play a European fixture, and I would even go so far to say that I think they'll win at Celtic Park. However, the Emirates will be the key leg for me. If Celtic can keep it tight then I can see them progressing, but realistically, Arsenal should really win it 3/4-0.
After Arsenal's 2-0 win in Scotland, I can't see anything other than another convincing performance from Arsenal at the Emirates this season and they'll finish Celtic off pretty easily.
Game over for Celtic. They lost pretty badly in the second leg. I think it was 3-1 or something so the agg. is 5-1 which isn't very nice at all. When I used to play Fifa 2005 I always picked Celtic or Rangers for the manager mode and really loved both teams. And I hate Arsenal so I'm not feeling happy at all.
